I’ve spent so many days confiding in what we were that all the time gone by has somehow now caused the bleeding. I told myself you walked away to make us back on track but somehow I feel like you left just for the sake of leaving. We’re still standing, hurricanes won't get us bending. Like ducks to water we start over. Let me recall, past the woods and the mountains, what we built: our path was never-ending. Knuckles turned white and my elbows got bruised, there’s still blood on my knees and my heart has cut loose. Each time you’ll have to face the demons in your sleep just think of us and we will stand along no matter what.
