You’d be very surprised of all the dreams I make at night where I’m a fire eater who tries not to get burned. It’s always getting harder just to breathe in our hometown, its claws have tightened up the grip ‘round my neck. Do you still believe? Do you still recall? Unbury our childhood, unbury our life. What have we become? Where have they all crawled, our days gone bye? Fire. I’m burning out just to be a part of this damn freak show, among these ashes there must be the kid I was. I’d love to be the roaring voice of our ambitions and yet I can only find comfort in these flames. Endless highways to take us far, cheap flights to dreams of glory, if only I could cherish forever the quietness of this parking lot.
